Laskaridis Shipping Co. Ltd. Implements 7 active Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with

as well as various collaboration under NON-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) with Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore LTD (CARES), Hellenic Naval Academy (HNA) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in advanced Maritime R&D.

Marinized Fuel Cells
Proof of Concept – Proof of Value project. 
Laskaridis Shipping Co. Ltd. in cooperation with Class BV and Advent Technologies have been working since 2022 to install methanol-fueled high-temperature polymer electrolyte membrane (PEM) fuel cells onboard.

“DIGITSENCE” EU funded maritime research project
Laskaridis Shipping Co. Ltd. is working with Academia and Industry for the development of an innovative intelligent “digital twin” of shipborne energy systems, as an integrated platform for technical, operational and commercial assessments.

SMART SHIP NOTATION
Laskaridis Shipping Co. Ltd. successfully completed the process and obtained the SMART notation for 12 vessels.

Fleet Digitalisation Status

  • 40 fully digitalized vessels with near real-time telemetry & analytics suite
  • 3 vessels under high-frequency system installation/calibration
  • 10 ΝΒs with digital suites for dock/sea trials, advanced monitoring and performance verification throughout high dimensional parametrization

Fuel oil flowmeters & propeller torquemeters installed on 45 vessels. Telemetry systems on 40 vessels (engine/bridge data, real-time transfer ashore) with fleetwide expansion by 2026.

These partnerships enable us to translate high-frequency operational data into actionable insights, supporting more efficient, transparent, and evidence-based decision-making, while accelerating our decarbonisation pathway through the integration of real-world vessel performance with advanced technologies.
