Innovation drives our evolution as a modern shipping company. We invest in advanced technologies and data-driven solutions to enhance efficiency, safety, and environmental performance-delivering reliable, future-ready services in a rapidly changing maritime world.
Laskaridis Shipping Co. Ltd. has established eight active Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with the following academic institutions:
Through these memoranda, the company further strengthens the bridge between industry and academia by enabling the sharing of real-time operational data. This collaboration provides access to high-quality, real-world datasets that are often unavailable to the scientific community, thereby addressing a critical gap between theoretical research and practical application.
In addition, Laskaridis Shipping Co. Ltd. has carried out several collaborations under Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) with institutions such as Cambridge Centre for Advanced Research and Education in Singapore Ltd (CARES), the Hellenic Naval Academy (HNA), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Chalmers University of Technology (Chalmers) and the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). The company has also engaged in multiple collaborations and publications with various universities, maritime organizations, and industry partners.
We are advancing fleet digitalisation through intelligent, automated data systems that transform real-time vessel information into actionable insight.
Integrated platforms and continuous performance monitoring enhance operational visibility, reduce risk, and enable predictive maintenance-ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency across our fleet.
By embedding data-driven decision-making into our operations, we are building a smarter, more sustainable maritime future.
Fleet Digitalisation Status
Fuel oil flowmeters & propeller torquemeters installed on 60 vessels. Telemetry systems on 58 vessels (engine/bridge data, real-time transfer ashore) with fleetwide expansion by the end of 2026.

As part of our commitment to fostering innovation through strategic academic partnerships, we have established a global network of collaborations with leading universities, formalized through multiple Memoranda of Understanding.
In parallel, we engage with a broad ecosystem of academic and industry partners, co-developing research initiatives and contributing to leading scientific journals and international conferences—bridging maritime operations with advanced research and innovation.
These partnerships enable us to translate high-frequency operational data into actionable insights, supporting more efficient, transparent, and evidence-based decision-making, while accelerating our decarbonisation pathway through the integration of real-world vessel performance with advanced technologies.
